Located in the Eastern Standard Time Zone, Cleveland is on the southern shore of Lake Erie and part of the Great Lakes Region, the country’s largest fresh water body of water. It has warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters.
But autumn is the best time to visit The North Coast. The average high for October (the month of the workshop) is 62.3°F (16.8°C). and the average low is 45.4°F (7.4°C)
General Moses Cleaveland founded the city in 1796. But it wasn’t until 1831 that the city got its current spelling, when the “a” was dropped in order to fit the city’s name on a newspaper masthead (talk about the power of the press!).
